Carrie's first book, Save Them All, exposes several topics surrounding domestic violence.
Children residing in violent homes are 1500% more likely to become victims of domestic violence. In some studies, mothers were 8 times more likely to hurt their children when they were being battered themselves. A major study of more than 900 children at battered women’s shelters found that nearly 70% of the children were themselves victims of physical abuse or neglect. Children who witness or are subjected to abuse in their home are more likely to become abusers themselves. They are also more likely to become runaways, drug addicts, alcoholics and emotionally disturbed adults.
